Things to Consider

  • Stability Issues: As a Beta release, expect potential bugs and stability issues.
  • Use a Secondary Device: For peace of mind, it’s advisable to install the Beta on a secondary phone rather than your primary device.

New Features in iOS 18

  • Customisation: iOS 18 allows for extensive home and lock screen customisation, similar to Android.
  • Revamped Apps: Updated Photos and Email apps, a new Control Centre layout, and the ability to lock apps with Face ID.
  • Generative AI: Apple Intelligence brings generative AI features, helping with composing messages and creating custom Emojis and images.

The final version of iOS 18 is expected to be released in Q3 2024, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 16 series.
