Oppo is reportedly working on the Find N5, the successor to last year’s Find N3. While the company has yet to officially confirm the launch of its next foldable phone, a tipster has shared details on the possible launch timeline and key specifications. The Oppo Find N5 is expected to debut early next year and may come with an ultra-slim design, potentially powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Additionally, the Find N5 could be launched in select regions under the OnePlus Open 2 branding, following a trend similar to last year, when the OnePlus Open was introduced as a rebranded Find N3 in select markets.

Leaked Specifications of Oppo Find N5 According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station in a now-deleted post on Weibo, the Oppo Find N5 could be unveiled in the first quarter of 2024. This timeline is consistent with earlier leaks regarding the release of the OnePlus Open 2. For comparison, the Oppo Find N3 made its debut in October 2023.

The Oppo Find N5 is rumored to feature a 2K resolution display and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It may sport a triple-camera system on the back, led by a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, along with a periscope lens, although specific details about the latter remain unknown. Other notable features could include an alert slider and a waterproof design.

The phone is also expected to retain the large circular camera island seen in its predecessor, the Find N3. With a thickness of around 9.x mm, the Find N5 is speculated to break records as the thinnest foldable device on the market. If the tipster’s claims are accurate, the Oppo Find N5 will outshine both the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measures 12.1mm thick, and the Oppo Find N3, which measures 11.7mm.

Given that the Find N3 was launched globally as the OnePlus Open, it’s likely that the Find N5 will follow a similar path, with the device being rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for specific markets.
